If prostitution was legal guys like Spitzer would probably not be interested. They need the added thrill of doing something wrong. And if prostitution were legal prices would probably fall which also takes away from the thrill. Some newspaper ran an article about the placebo effect of high prices.

Cucarachita- No one gets laid for free. You have to pay something in any relationship- financially, or emotionally. Even though I havent done it I can understand paying for sex as a business transaction with no strings. It would be easier than dealing with someone you don't want to date anymore. The problem is that just like the failed war on drugs, theres no reason prostittion should be illegal. Regulated sure, illegal no. People pay for sex all the time

Now this is something that puzzles me. I thought all these politicians were oh-so-charming and charismatic. Why can't they get laid for free? It seems to me that hiring at $900/hour prostitute is simply antisocial. Can't be bothered to charm a nice civilian lady? Is it really more convenient to hire a hooker than to seduce your employees and colleagues? I think these men need to go to charm school and learn some sexual etiquette. It would save them a lot of money and trouble.
