I am the artist that painted the wall. It's far from perfect (I even mispelled the word "perfect" in my exhaustion and carelessness...) but I just want to thank The Gothamist and Juxtapoz for showing so much love for this piece that I worked so hard on. Thank you to the critics who fuel my fire, and for the supporters who rebuild my self confidence to create. The mural is not about me; it's about the first real dialogue on race in America since the 1960's, well before I was born. I hope that the dialogue continues. Peace & Respect, Juse One

Exactly, great to see graf writers embracing Obama. Most of the time you do see murals of Che, Jesus, Lenin, or Mao.
