A Big High Means a Clear Sky
This week starts off with at least a couple of dry days before more March rains arrive. A big high pressure system covers the eastern half of the country this morning. Sinking air and a lack of humidity should keep the city dry today and tomorrow. The Weather Service mentions a slight chance of sprinkles for this afternoon and evening but their heart isn't in it. The high temperature today and tomorrow should flirt with 50 degrees.
A warm front may bring rain close to town early Wednesday. The Weather Service thinks a few showers will hit the city, AccuWeather is less sanguine about those chances and the Weather Channel barely mentions showers at all. They all agree on a high in the mid-50s.
All three forecasts converge on a sunny and cool Thursday followed by a cool and possibly rainy weekend. The chance of rain reminds Gothamist that we totally forgot that last week was Flood Safety Awareness Week.

three weeks in a row where it warms up during the week, then gets cold/rainy again for the weekend.
Screw you, nature!
