I spotted the glasses while jogging this morning -- I wasn't going that fast and seemed more interested in the floor than in controlling my breathing -- I passed them by at first, and then, as a reading-glasses-wearing person myself, I thought how shitty it would be to lose my most beloved pair of glasses. I have not found a similar pair of frames like the ones I have owned for the past five years; so I went back and picked them up. Showed them to my wife, and told her I was making a web site, she said "don't you have better things to do with your time?". I said "yes". She rolled her eyes. I really hope I can give these glasses back. They are nice and deserve to be worn. Still no claimers. Thanks for caring. Or not caring like marblehill above.

I don't know why you guys still wear glasses. I got my eyes lasered in the late 90's for 1000 bucks a eye and can see straighter than an eagle. totally worth it! get your eyes lazered bitches!

Folks who wear prescription glasses know how expensive good lenses are. I am near sighted and need reading glasses as well. My progressive lenses with a protective UV coating were $400 while the frames were another $120. If I lost my glasses I'd sure would like to find them becuase it'll cost me over $500 to replace them.

I have the same Prada frames!! Know why? Because they're at Pearle Express and they didn't look super trendy. I didn't know they were Prada and I wouldn't NOT buy them because of their label; that would be just as shallow. if those were my glasses, i'd be happy if someone returned them to me because they are expensive (especially when you don't have vision coverage) and because yes, Gregoire, i wouldn't be able to read these comments!!

matuko: yeah, I'm going to have to disagree with that too (do you even wear glasses?). I'm pretty nearsighted, so while the frames can run anywhere from cheapo $99 to $250, the high-index lenses I require (they make the lenses thinner) are at least $150 EACH.

Not so matuko. I just paid $200 to get new lenses put on a pair of old frames. Ouchie! And MT is right, these days $150 for a pair of frames is a steal.

Opthalmogists and Optometrists make all their money on frames... the lenses cost nothing! My Prada glasses were probably at least $250 at Lenscrafters, but I wear glasses all day, every day, so to me it's worth it.

My post was an exagerration, but I do think that most of the "high class" name brands that women go nuts over these days are just pathetic. Prada, Louis, Marc Jacobs, Coach....it's sad that people actually would spend $500 for a purse. I give more credit to the girl that gets a quality fake one and looks just as good. Of course it's tough to look good without buying a popular brand name. Abercrombie, Polo, American Eagle are some brands I wear. But beyond the little horse on my hat, the moose on my shirt, I refuse to be a billboard, or as I said, a victim of Madison Avenue marketing. Mac is fuckin gay, btw. haha

If you go into any optometrist you'll see that $150 for a pair of frames is actually kind of cheap. All glasses are outrageous - Prada or not.

I really hope they find the owner! If I found those glasses, I'd do the same. Except once I met the owner, I'd drop the glasses on the floor, stomp on them, tell her she was a complete idiot for spending that much on glasses anyway, and tell her she doesn't need to thank me for rescuing her from being a victim of Madison Avenue marketing.
