I do not believe the story about Charlie Rose's black eye. That black and blue eye is not a result of a fall on the face. It would have to have affected his whole face not the protected socket. Who is he trying to kid? Maybe he is embarrassed over the real truth. Maybe he doesn't want the public to know it. Maybe he was hit in the eye and doesn't want the person who did it to get the attention form the publicity.

What will this do to Mac vs PC commercials? Sure Macs may be user friendly, shiny, a status symbol for regal talk show hosts and trust fund art nerds alike, but will they sacrifice themselves in order to protect you? Though immobile now, do Charlie Rose's actions not demonstrate that in some implicit way this machine is in violation of the laws of robotics. We see Macs personified all the time in commercials, by a dude (supposedly a cool dude), wearing jeans, chilling out, making cool stuff. It is this dude that let Charlie Rose fall, his smug sense of self satisfaction at being the most highly sought after piece of computer equipment in this age of ever eclipsing electronics kept his hands idle, and his surface undamaged as Charlie fell to the ground, clutching what he held most dear at the moment, a piece of technology that will be outdated with in a year. Oh Mac, you may have jeans and sweet graphics programs. You may be able to provide editing capabilities for thousands of overfunded film students, but you've blood on your hands now. Yes I've said it, your own sense of smugness is in direct violation of the first law of robotics (which since you're so smart you should learn to obey) A robot may not injure a human being or, through inaction, allow a human being to come to harm. Don't think that PC won't bring this up in the commercials. He has every right to. There is not a person on this earth who would not have their PC dashed to bits to protect their own face. They are cheap and the OS sucks. What a selfless righteous being, clearly superior when it comes to the greater interests of mankind. It may not be so yet, but one day, Mac may make a robot, and if this robot is as any bit as self satisfied as the Mac Book air, I hope I don't have to tell you whose side they would take in a robot war.
