Video of the Day: Lou Reed and Moby Lovefest in Austin

Two of the more recognizable New Yorkers down in Austin last week for SXSW were Lou Reed and Moby. During a tribute show for...himself, Reed showed up for a 7-minute encore of "Walk on the Wilde Side," which can be seen below.

The two (along with David Byrne) will also be seen together tomorrow night at the Speak Up! concert in DUMBO...but will they still be feeling the love? The crooner kissed Moby not once, but twice in the above video!

Hmmmm.... I wonder what all the "hipper than thou" poseurs who always thought it was cool to put down Moby have to say now?

"The crooner kissed Moby not once, but twice in the above video!"

So let's see...Moby, basking in Lou's attention, gave him a peck on the cheek and Lou, touched, returns the gesture. Puh-leeze, this is the 21st century, we already do that with of our friends. That sentence should end with a smiley face not an exclamation point. :-)

The song was mangled beyond any recognition of it's original greatness. Sorry, Lou, your photography blows and your music hasn't been good in decades. Hang it up you old shit eater.
