New York magazine hit the stands today (or, really, yesterday) with a bunch of features about our embattled ex-governors, from looks inside the world of prostitution, the Silda angle, and the irony of Governor Spitzer's fall. Best of all is the cheeky cover, which uses the image at right. Most disturbing quote: Call girl "Kristen" allegedly has what other call girls called "the most beautiful vagina in New York."

Over the weekend, it was revealed that federal investigators are looking into whether Spitzer used campaign funds to pay for his trysts with prostitutes. The campaign did pay for hotel rooms in a number of cities (including the Grand Hyatt in NYC last year), but it's unclear whether Spitzer saw ladies of the night on those trips. The feds want records of Spitzer's payments to campaign consultant Kristian Stiles, who often paid for hotel rooms and would be reimbursed. Her lawyer said, "As a witness in this investigation she will be cooperative with all parties.”

Spitzer was seen for the first time since his resignation on Saturday night, near his apartment building. He walked his dog (the Post said it was his "Last Chance to Chase Tail") left the city for his upstate home with wife Silda and children.

And what other scandal could have Snoop Dogg weigh in and say he could have given Spitzer someone "real discreet who wouldn't expose his game and he's still be able to be Client No. 9."?
