Eliot Spitzer's Official Resignation Letter

From a resounding election win to his first day on the job, when he said, "What is needed now more than ever is a politics that binds us together, a politics that looks to the future, a politics that asks not what is in it for me, but always what is in it for us?"

From the embarrassment of attempting to smear rival Joe Bruno and the ensuing Troopergate to a 2008 plea to fellow lawmakers to "work together for the common good, despite any political or personal differences."

And it all boiled down to this.

Joe Bruno is under federal investigation for

    questionable business dealings and horseracing

gambling issues. He is known as an enemy of

Housing protections. When I see him talk he looks

like a bit actor from the Godfather every word

he says produces an inflection in his eyes and a

wave of the hand ,just like the old country folks

in Sicily. What a crew in Albany.

meese, I'm going to have to disagree. One's signature is not necessarily indicative of handwriting. I have fairly decent handwriting, but having to sign for things all day, there is not a single letter that is distinguishable.

  • meese

    Wow. His handwriting is TERRIBLE.

If you like it or not, they are in a position which gives them the Hon. salutation. But even sucha salutation help them from being douchebags.

Any more news on Spitzer's Jersey whore score?

  • babyhitler

it is sad that douchebags like silver and bruno are now elevated to a higher level cause Spitzer dropped so low. You guys notice how the media is rooting for the white collar criminals in wall street now? WTF?

He also posted an apology video.. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=l3Qmdu-T4BU

man, bad decisions can really harsh your mellow.

  • Toby von Meistersinger

The funniest/ironic thing here is that Bruno and Silver have the honorific of Hon. (Honorable) when they are far from it.

Other than that it seems like yet another piece of procedural paperwork generated by Albany, although most likely much much shorter.
