Its interesting that a guy who held himself up as a no-nonsense corruption fighter inundated Albany with political flunkies, incompetent appointees, and now this. From what I hear, he won't be missed, especially if some of his political "appointees" leave with him.

I don't like him as governor. Prosecutors always make lousy politicians (Giuliani, for example). Cuomo on the other hand made his career defending fair housing and was an eloquent and inspiring orator. I don't care what Spitzer does with his dick and neither should you. Its his pen that matters as governor. I the feds go after him in voilation of the Mann Act, he's finished.

Like McGreevey, a sex scandal may be Spitzer's best way to bow out of an administration that has become a joke and a barely effective branch of government. He can reinvent himself in 5-10 years as the victim of a puritanical witch hunt, instead of a colossal executive failure of his own making.
