THEATER: Fun fact: Unlike the Fringe, the second annual Frigid theater festival lets the artists walk with 100% of the box office loot. Taking place over 12 days at three East Village theaters, this year’s Frigid gives over 30 scrappy independent theater companies a stage and a taste of community. (Peruse the show schedule here.) Reviews are trickling in on the exhaustive NYtheatre.com: Martin Denton calls Antonin...mon Artaud an “intriguing and enthralling” multimedia performance piece that uses “dazzling video and sonic imagery” to explore the strange life of avant-garde theatrical theorist Antonin Artaud. – John Del Signore
