Convince your boss to let you take an extra long lunch today: The Parks Department just sent out this press release:

Parks & Recreation Commissioner Adrian Benepe invites New Yorkers to come out to a neighborhood park for some winter fun. White-capped hills around the city are open for sledding, snowman-making and more. Parks & Recreation will provide sleds and hot chocolate at selected locations across the city, while Urban Park Rangers lead nature walks and teach revelers how to find animal prints in the snow.
Animal prints! Here are the locations for the fun between 12PM-4PM:
Bronx: Crotona Park, Fulton Avenue between 174th Street and Crotona Park North
Brooklyn: Prospect Park, Prospect Park West at 9th Street
Manhattan: Riverside Park, Riverside Drive at 103rd Street
Queens: Juniper Valley Park, 78th Street and Juniper Valley North
Staten Island: Clove Lakes Park, Martling and Slosson Avenues

Those lucky kids who are on winter recess break!
