THEATER: In an interview with Gothamist, Charles Mee said his play Paradise Park is about how Americans have become "unconscious prisoners of a vast, distracting amusement park.” The third and concluding production in Signature’s Charles Mee season is a colorful “collage-like journey” through “this bizarre carnival of life, inhabited by a ventriloquist, his dummy, and a teenage girl on the run. From Futureworld to Londonland, the Grand Canyon to Fred's Polynesian Dive Shop, step right up to this wild ride of fruit cake tosses, underwater ballets, square dances, and star gazing, too.” If this far out video montage is any indication, you'd do well to buy the ticket, take the ride.
