Rules for the Stroller Set

2008022strollerrules.jpg

Another Park Slope blogger is pushing the stroller feud even further with a post on stroller rules (featuring illustrations!). This particular "prammer" states: "there are enough jerks out there to give us all a bad name. To combat these sidewalk simpletons, I propose the following pramming penalties be implemented immediately."

There's the sidewalk blocker, the "nannyjam," and the multitasking stroller pusher (also seen on this sign). The latter is perhaps the most dangerous of them all, running over feet citywide.

Of course, stroller-less pedestrians are often no better, and should probably brush up on some sidewalk etiquette as well (and here are New York's "rules of the road"). Perhaps signs like the above, yet aimed at all pedestrians, should be posted in high foot traffic areas.

Unless you are from the UK or Ireland - STOP CALLING IT A PRAM! As an American - it just makes you sound like an affected douche.

it just makes you sound like an affected douche.

Affected douche?! Unless you're from France, you should say "pretentious asshole." Otherwise you just sound like a toffee-nosed wanker.

"An affected douche" sounds appropriate.
