Yesterday's high of 40 and low of 28 was exactly average for Valentine's Day. Today, like all the children in Lake Wobegon, will be above average with a high temperature close to 50 degrees. The reverse will be true tomorrow. A cold front tonight will usher in a quick blast of cooler air. The high tomorrow will only be around freezing. Earlier in the week the front looked like a rainmaker, but we should only see a few clouds tonight.

February's weather continues it's rollercoaster action on Sunday. That's right, warm again, high in the upper-40s. The Weather Service is hinting that the city could get another soaking Sunday night into Monday morning. The storm earlier in the week produced 2.5 inches of precipitation. This next storm has the potential for almost as much rain. For you people who have Monday off, which, grumble grumble, does not include Gothamist, the rain should end early enough to make it a pleasant day. Look for highs in the 50s.

Once the Sunday night storm passes it appears as if a stretch of calmer weather is in store. The dirty crystal ball kind of indicates a few days of seasonable temperatures and no precipitation.
