  • In a lights-out case of falling fixtures, a staffer at Cosmo magazine is suing multiple parties for the the lighting fixture that fell on her head, knocking her out and reportedly "scalping" her.
  • New York is now a gay-friendly state that recognizes other states' declarations of marriage between same sex couples.
  • The family of Imette St. Guillen is suing the state for paroling her daughter's alleged killer, who is suspected of abducting her in the early morning and then brutally raping her before killing her.
  • Former Presidential candidate John Kerry's sister, Margaret, was knocked down and robbed in an attack Wednesday evening. She suffered a cut on her forehead and police are searching for suspects.

Thanks, 2, there was some initial confusion about where the photo was from - it's changed now.

A light fixture fell on me at Bowery Ballroom and hit me in the head. The most they offered me was a free glass of wine. They are lucky I'm not ligitious!
