Last Night's Action: It All Comes Back to NIne

- Timberwolves 98, Nets 95: Minnesota, with only eight wins on the season, hasn't been a complete rollover during the past 10 days, but that doesn't mean the team is any good. It was a good night for the Jeffersons -- Minnesota's Al had 41 and New Jersey's Richard had 35. The Nets have lost nine straight. The last six of those have come on the road against Western Conference teams. See for yourself which conference is better, but this team needs to shape up quickly. Otherwise Jason Kidd will be traded and Lawrence Frank could be fired.
- Warriors 106, Knicks 104: Jamal Crawford would love to play for the Warriors. Don Nelson -- remember him? -- lets everyone chuck whenever they want. Unfortunately for the Knicks, the Warriors play that style a lot better than the Knicks. Crawford dumped 21. If the Knicks shot better than their 2-for-15 from 3-point range, this game could have turned out differently.
- East 8, West 7: Islanders goalie Rick DiPietro made 12 saves in 13 shots, and, for an All-Star Game, that qualifies him for the Hall of Fame. The one goal he did give up came when he was giving an interview, so it shouldn't even count. He represented the New York area well.

Last night's Nets game was a disaster. They had the lead going into the final minutes (up by 6!) and blew it. Time to clean house.
Brandon Dubinsky was named YoungStar MVP - so I think HE represented the NY area better.
What a fun all-star game to watch- I enjoy watching hockey regardless but I bet it'd capture a larger audience in the US if more games were played that way...
I'm glad they got rid of that awful "North America vs. The Rest of the World" format.
DP played very well yesterday; particularly liked his "play-by-play" work at teh end of the 1st period. Funny, they asked him about doing commentary at soem poitn in his career, but I guess he can't until the end of his 15-year deal!
