Kimora's Car Has Carte Blanche
Kimora Lee Simmons is often on official business...shopping! The NY Post caught her out and about with a possibly illegal parking permit recently. Their "eagle-eyed lensman" saw Simmons and boyfriend Djimon Hounsou "shopping at the swanky department store Barneys late last week while her driver dutifully stood guard outside Simmons' Cadillac Escalade, which had a New York Correction Department placard on its dashboard."
The placard stated: "This Vehicle Is On Official Business"; must have been a fashion emergency! Simmons feigned ignorance when questioned about it, but when The Post talked to Deputy Commissioner Stephen Morello, he assured them "we will investigate and take whatever disciplinary measures are appropriate."
Earlier this year it was announced that City Hall is cracking down on government employee parking placards, reducing those given to civil servants by 20%.
How did Kimora get a Correction Department placard in the first place? Unlike her Fendi bags and fur, it was probably fake.

Kimora has to be one of the most vile, obnoxious people to walk the earth (watch her craptacular show or check out the old MTV Cribs with her and Russell).
She is so vile that you wonder how Russell ever put up with her...which I guess makes all those Russell is gay rumors quite believable, what straight successful man would put up with her nonsense???
I'd like to see her lift her chin just a wee bit further...

Please follow up on this. Someone should get fired for this. This is the type of "acceptable" corruption that drives me nuts.

Agree with the above, except that mugshot is pretty awesome. You'd have to be dumb and stoned to smile so happily for a mugshot.
I think the smiling for mugshots is a PR thing.. if you look sad during a mugshot, it sends a message of guilt. See Tom DeLay, or OJ (the recent one).
Also, the Post article says the vehicle appeared to have been ticketed.
What an asshat. I hope this leads to more than just a ticket.
