It's a Matter of Taste: iPhones for Yankees Bling
Two deliverymen-turned-thieves ripped off a shipment of Apple iPhones headed for Hong Kong, and traded in their loot for matching maroon cars and "diamond stud Yankee earrings." Really!
Cathay Pacific Airlines reported the theft when they discovered not the almost $150K of digital devices (475 of them), but reams of copy paper. Nassau County cops traced the theft to two workers who delivered the shipment to the airport and had quit their jobs almost immediately after the theft. They replaced the shipment of dozens of iPhones with paper - the bad re-wrapping job on the packages was what made Cathay officials suspicious - and attempted to flee south. .
Before doing so, however, 20-year-old Emmanuel Etienne and 22-year-old Jarred Harris blew some of the $80,000 they made on on their cars, a pair of matching diamond stud Yankees earrings, "Mark Ecko watches and Nike high-top sneakers," according to Newsday. The two were on their way to Florida when they were arrested. A Brooklyn man who bought 50 of the iPhones was also arrested.

Its what we call "Hood Rich" or [N-word] rich.
On the anniversary of Martin Luther King Jr's birthday they took him for his word when he said, "I have a dream."
Dumbass Amateurs.
They can write the book on what NOT to do when boosting valuables.
That's how they celebrate MLK day in the hood.
Keep it real, yo.
edex? Didn't you forget delivery and sales tax on your calculation?
The perps did collect sales tax on their sales didn't they? If not, they are two dead mo fo's.
The mystery here: why were the iPhones being shipped to Hong Kong? They're not available on any carrier there. Had they been unlocked?
I believe they can be hacked to unlock them.
It's pretty simple to unlock an Iphone, many hacks exist for that. The catch is, that every time they update the firmware, your hack gets erased.
