thanks for using the lost camera hook to trick me into visiting uber-douche Jakob Lodwick's site.
Did we just skip backwards one month or forwards eleven months?
It took me a while to figure out what you were asking Landor, until it occurred that you were referring to the picture. What's going on there is the celebration of the Feast of the Epiphany, usually fixed on January 6th and lasting eight days. For Western christian churches, it's regarded as a celebration of the arrival of the three wise men (the guys in the picture). That's where the whole 12 days of Christmas thing originated, beginning 12/25 and ending 1/5, with 1/6 serving as the Epiphany.
Clearly, a portion of the latin american community feels the Feast of the Epiphany is an important event and holds quite an elaborate parade in Brooklyn to celebrate it.
I know the couple that feeds the cats on that block. They are assholes. They don't even live there. They feed all the stray cats in the neighborhood, with their foodstamp money. They're on welfare and spend our taxpayer money causing a shitstorm of cats in the neighborhood. They feed the cats in the lot next to my house. I advised them to feed them across the street, because they go in my yard and my dog (a pit/boxer mix) will kill them, and has tried to do so. They then asked if my dog attacks humans, too. They were going to call the cops on my dog to get it euthanized so that the stray cats could live in the lot!!!!! They also feed the birds that shit in my backyard. Everyone in the neighborhood hates them. I have had many cats as pets and even I considered poisoning the food they put out there. The cats break into my hallway and pee in front of my apartment door. They sneak in and out of my basement, pissing and shitting. I hate them. I hate them. I hate them.
