Suspect in Doorway Shooting of 11-Year-Old Arrested
Police arrested a suspect in the shooting of 11-year-old Tyshaun Falconer as he stood in the doorway of his parents' home in Springfield Gardens, Queens. The suspect is identified as 19-year-old Michael Peterson of Elmont, Long Island. Peterson allegedly went to the Falconer home and when Tyshaun answered the door asked for his older brother Tony. When the younger brother answered that he was not home, Peterson is accused of shooting him once in the chest.
The 11-year-old is in stable condition at Long Island Jewish Medical Center with a collapsed long, but is expected to recover, as the bullet somehow missed all of his vital organs. Peterson is being charged with attempted murder and weapons possession following his arrest at 1:30 am Friday morning.
The shooting is apparently just the latest in a feud between Peterson and Tony Falconer. In November, one of Falconer's cousins, Kevin Hoofong, was shot, allegedly by Donovan Taylor. Taylor was arrested after he himself was injured in a retaliatory shooting. Peterson and Falconer both have prior arrest records and are reportedly members of the Bloods and Crips gangs, respectively. The feud is also said to be over a girl.

So sad. How can someone shoot a kid who is just answering the door and doesn't have anything to do with a spat?
And dealing with a spat by guns? Jesus. Why?
Maybe this kid can promote his delusional rap artist dreams when he grows up. You know getting shot in the chest and living to tell about it ..is kind of a big deal.

He's not racist. He's a troll. He's more of an attention hound than the real Al Sharpton. Nobody listens to him in real life, so he comes here and tries to incite people to respond to his ridiculous comments. The best course of action is to ignore him entirely.

Hopefully the girl this fight was over isn't pregnant with one of these fine gentleman's child.
This story would have worked out better if Peterson shot the correct brother to death and then he goes on to get sentenced to life in prison. Trust me, it would save us a couple of crime stats and a lot of heartache in the future.
I agree. Black on Black crime is a good thing. At least that's the impression I get since no one (Al Sharpton in particular) seems to march in protest over it. I guess it's all just part of keeping it real.
