An actress who insists her screaming orgasm was misrepresented in a web ad is suing Szul, the jewelry company who hired her. The 35-second spot depicts the 37-year-old woman – identified in court papers as Jane Doe – wearing a teal teddy while writhing and moaning in bed. When her ecstasy turns climactic, the ad’s slogan appears on the screen: “Rock Her World.” Genius, right?!
According to her lawyer, the ad’s producers had pitched it as a comic scenario, with a “shy average Joe guy” who gets her into bed by giving her diamonds. You know, like a prostitute – but funny! Then at the end of the shoot the director asked her to lie down and feign excitement; she thought the orgasm would be the punch line to the joke. (Sound familiar, ladies?) In the final spot, the shy guy is left on the cutting room floor and the camera stays focused on the bed. Kind of NSFW if you leave the sound on.
Szul’s V.P. of Marketing says they're just trying to appeal to a “younger, hipper generation” with an ad described as "inspired from true events." The actress, a former national cable TV host, claims she was tricked into a softcore porn video that is putting her future career in jeopardy; the ad's already gotten 55,000 views on Youtube. 55,000 views! Now if some clever entrepreneur could devise a way to show more provocative porn on the internet, he'd make a fortune!

Yeah, diamonds don't do it for me. My vibrator is the one that "works every time!"

I bet she faked the whole orgasm thing. Maybe the necklace was too tight.
What is her mother saying about this whole affair?
Rocknrope
Maybe she's havin' a laugh.

So, they're trying to appeal to a "younger, HIPPER" generation by depicting a women having an orgasm becasue someone gave her jewelry? If that's what passes as "hip" we're in more trouble than I thought. How about taking the diamond and using it to cut out some yuppies window from their new million dollar condo instead?
ARealGothamite
How was she tricked?
Camera on = high possibility it might get seen. Duh.

Something doesn't add up. I'm an actor and these (obviously) non-union, low paying spots are typically sought after by up and coming model/actors looking to add to their reel and perhaps make some quick cash. Im not aaying a 37 yr old woman shouldn't be in this spot, but it just seems strange that a former or current national cable channel host would be sent out on for this type of spot. Either terrible agenting or there is more to the story.
p.s. it's a pretty hot spot nonetheless :)

Can anyone figure out which "national cable network program" she's a host of?
Definitely one of the better dirtysomethings we've seen mentioned here lately....

First Rule of PR: Never write, say or do anything that you wouldn't want to see on the front page of the NY Times. That's the best advice I've ever gotten. As an actress, she should be well aware of this great invention called 'editing'. Clearly she wore the lingerie, did the moaning, and was unhappy with the edit. Time for a career shift.
