Paterson "Bombshell" Just PG-13?
If you believe that headline, you're clearly delusional. But that seems to be exactly what Isiah Thomas believes. In mid-December, Isiah said it would be fair to ask about his coaching status after two weeks to see if he improved. Well, those two weeks are up and he still believes he's fit to coach the Knicks.
After practice yesterday, Thomas said that the team would "keep moving in this direction." When asked to clarify what that direction was, he said, "Me as coach." Yikes. Could the only thing worse than having Isiah Thomas as the Knicks coach be having Isiah Thomas in charge of firing himself as coach? Since he gave his "two week notice," the Knicks have gone 1-4, including four straight losses.
The fact that Thomas still refuses to step aside as a the coach of the Knicks is dumbfounding. He fired Don Chaney, Lenny Wilkens, and Larry Brown when they all had better records than he has now (8-21, .276 win %). Either Thomas isn't resigning because he's waiting for Jim Dolan to fire him so keep getting a paycheck or he's the most delusional man in the history of sports. It seems like no amount of coaching (or work as President of Basketball Operations) by Isiah Thomas can turn this Knicks team around.
Perhaps Eddy Curry has it right when he says that he "can't help but think about" his coach's job security. Unfortunately, it doesn't seem like Thomas or Dolan are going to do anything about it.

whatever. I talked to a knick fan the other day who kept talking shit about Isiah and how much he sucked and the team sucked but then I asked him why he kept going to games and paying Isiah's wages and he said he couldn't help himself. Knicks fans are IDIOTS!!!!!
