Dave - it's the 110th anniversary of S.I. becoming part of NYC, not the 100th.

And I'll be writing 2007 on my checks 'til April.

Isn't today also the 110th anniversary of the Bronx, Brooklyn and Queens becoming NYC?

Totally true; the charter didn't take effect until 1901, but consolidation was effected in 1898.

Biggest mistake Manhattan ever made.

What some called "The Great Mistake of '98" (mainly in Brooklyn) is better known as "consolidation" which created "The Greater New York" or what we now know as the five boroughs. Fun fact - all the boroughs are also counties.

Let's see they are New York, Richmond, Kings, Queens and Joker. right?

Funny Snoopy - the last one is Bronx County.
