The Truth About Chuck Norris Is That He Is Suing

Martial arts master and star of movies and television, Chuck Norris, is suing a New York publishing company along with a Brown University student who established an Internet site that passes along purported facts about him. The Norris-facts phenomena is a longtime Internet meme and the actor says that he doesn't mind when sites continue it as long as they are non-commercial. Ian Roberts, the Brown student who operates one Norris-facts site, teamed up with Penguin publishing to market a book compiling the humorous two-liners. According to a separate site, the following are the most popular facts about Chuck Norris.

In the suit filed at the U.S. District Court in Manhattan, Norris complains that some of the facts, which are generated by contributors, portray him as callous and unlawful, and occasionally racist and lewd. He contends that the practice is damaging his reputation. We should probably add that the reputation of Chuck Norris can not be blackened. Only his enemies' eyes can be blackened by the fists of Chuck Norris.

The person who has done the most damage to the reputation of Chuck Norris is Chuck Norris.
The only thing that I think he recently starred in was some infomercial for exercise equipment. If you are reduced to infomercials, you obviously don't care about your reputation anymore.

actually, he more recently starred in a commercial for Mike Huckabee's campaign (ew) where they actually USED the chuck norris facts as a gimmick.

The Huck-n-Chuck Show - almost a bigger joke than the Giuliani campaign...

Somebody buy Chuck a sense of humor for Christmas. Anybody can tell those "facts" aren't serious. If he doesn't want to be seen as someone who loves to fight and kill, he shouldn't have made all those shows and movies where all he did was fight and kill.

i don't think he's pissed off about the jokes. He's pissed off that someone is profiting off those jokes. I mean it is kind of fucked up. Everybodywas part of a non-profit Chuck norris joke collective and some dickhead wants to make money off it.

He also likes to use terms like "The Creator" in his press-releases: http://www.chucknorris.com/html/events.aspx

babyhitler is right. he was ok with it when it was free but now some snot-nosed tool is trying to make a buck using his name.

Then he needs to make up his mind. He can't say it smears his reputation but as long as it's noncommercial, it's okay. If he's upset about his rep, it shouldn't matter if it's commercial or not.
