THEATER: Hey, there’s actually a good review out for Broadway production of The Farnsworth Invention! Martin Denton calls the play, by The West Wing mastermind Aaron Sorkin, a “provocative, intelligent, and stimulating drama.” Consider this a corrective of sorts, as reviews have been generally lackluster for the show, which features Simpsons and Spamalot star Hank Azaria. Michael Riedel reports that the box office is taking in less than $50,000 a day, compared to August: Osage County’s daily pull of $200K. A little birdie tells Riedel that cast members have been told that unless business picks up, the show will soon fold. So if you’ve been thinking about giving this drama about the 1929 race to invent television a chance, you'd better tune in now before it's cancelled. – John Del Signore
