It is hard to imagine a worse night for the Giants than what they actually went through on Sunday. In a 22-10 loss, Eli Manning had 34 incompletions, Jeremy Shockey broke his leg and they forgot how to catch a football. Ugly doesn’t even begin to describe this performance. And yes, the weather was bad with the wind whipping around the stadium, but that affects both teams and Washington didn’t seem to have a problem with the conditions.
Instead, it was the Giants who stumbled all over the field and put their playoff hopes in jeopardy. Yes, they still are in control of their destiny, but with a road game in Buffalo next week before a home date against the Patriots, there is a decent chance the Giants finish the season at 9-7 which would probably mean they miss the playoffs. They will root for the Bears tonight and try and take care of business next week, but the road to the playoffs just got a lot tougher.

i was there, it was disastrous.
Shockey broke his leg? Can't say that I'm sad about that. Some people believe in karma and some don't. I'm sure there are a number of gay people and other minorities, who have been offended by this cro-magnon's lack of brain-to-mouth filters, that now believe in it if they didn't already.
I was also there, it was disastrous and COLD.
It's nights like last night that make me happy I'm not a season ticket holder.
Who gives a fuck?
HaHaHa,
As a Skins fan living in New York, the only thing better than beating the Giants is listening to all you Giants fan whine and cry like this is the end of the world.
The Giants are 9-5 for gods sake. People are already crying about how difficult next week's game against Buffalo will be and how the Giants have no chance. Excuse me, but are Jim Kelly, Thurman Thomas and Bruce Smith being transported via time machine from 1992? The Bills suck. The Giants will beat the Bills next week and clinch a spot. They'll probably win a first round game also, at least. And this is coming from a DC native who grew up hating the Giants and Bill Parcells, Phil Simms and LT.
The New York media is acting like they just got eliminated from playoff contention! It's comical to say the least.
I nearly went...3 weeks ago nearly paid 140 bucks on stub hub for my annual go see an nfl game...then I thought better of it...I mean 140 bucks to see Eli?! What was I thinking...anyway...glad I saw sense and watched from the warmth of my couch...I think they may miss the playoffs...the bills will take them then they need to beat the pats?!
I skipped it completely and played video games all day. That little tingling in the back of my neck I get told me this game was going to be pure fuckery, so I didn't watch.
..go..blue..:(
It sucks that he broke his leg, no doubt. Part of the game but it always sucks. But I gotta agree with poster #6, the Giants shouldn't have too much trouble beating the Bills. This coming from a Redskins fan as well. Oh and I know at least he feels me that it's nice as hell to get two Prime time games in a row so I can actually watch it at home for once.
$80 bucks a ticket for a game like that one, plus $20 for parking and $7.75 for each crappy beer you have to wait ten minutes for. Add in traffic, gas, tolls the Lincoln Tunnel and spending all day freezing your ass off in 50+ MPH winds -- no, thanks.
I spent the game on my couch with a half-liter bottle of Franziskaner in one hand, the remote in the other, and my girl going down on me for most of the second quarter. And she wants to know why, if I'm such a big fan, I'm not on the (30-year) waiting list for season tickets.
^by girlfriend, don't you mean your dad?
THAT was predictable.
But funny...:)
As a giants fan I don't see why we can expect to beat the bills...no way...we suck...have done for 6 weeks straight...and with shockey out fuhget about it...we can't make a pass to save ourselves and when we do we seem to like to drop the fckn thing everytime...oh and where's the offensive line gone...hello...oh there you are...nice to see you again...
