So the owner of the Central Park Carriage Horse Stables tried to bribe an inspector to overlook violations at his stable. By a sad coincidence, Cornelius Byne is also the same man who owned the unfortunate carriage horse, "Smoothie," who died in that terrible accident last September. This is just another reason why carriage horses should be taken off the city streets of NYC.
