Didn't Rudy attempt to have New York magazine ads that were unflattering of him removed from city buses? It was that kind of thin-skinned pettiness that really made me dislike him as a Mayor, regardless of what he did or did not accomplish.

I think many NYer's opinion of him now is the same as it was on September 10, 2001. Blowhard, Egomaniacal, Crook. I hope there are more articles like this so the rest of the country gets to see him as we do.

I don't know if his drop in the polls means much. Huckabee's rise is probably the best thing that could happen for Rudy. If Huckabee manages to win Iowa, he still has no chance in New Hampshire. Huckabee and Romney would cancel each other out momentum wise, and that would leave Rudy with the big states (NY, FL, NJ, CA, etc.) where he still has a huge lead (last I saw, anyway...)

The tough thing is that Midwest conservatives all think New Yorkers are kooks anyway. So their understanding of Rudy's record is "Boo-hoo, Rudy cleaned up New York and those whiny jerks don't appreciate it."

So, we need *really persuasive* information out there in the national media. I'm just encouraged that he lags in the actual early primary states - hopefully he will lose those and the rest of the country will say, "Wait a minute, what?"

it's the media who made him what he is,
he's America's Mayor,
no way will the media say they're wrong.
Keep banging on his gun stance boys, he never met a gun control act he didn't like.
