If It's Time for Chanukah, It's Time for Ham! Wait...

Chanukah may not be the holiest of days on the Jewish calendar, but we don't think eating pork products is allowed. Still, NancyKay Shapiro found that Balducci's is touting the deliciousness of various hams for the Festival of Lights. She writes that the gesture seems to be from the "the Monumental Cluelessness, Well-Meaning Division."

If you're celebrating Chanukah, what are you eating? We're planning on eating pounds of greasy latkes with equal amounts of sour cream and applesauce.

It's as contradictory as my friend who eats ham and cheese on matzah during Passover....b/c it's okay since it's on matzah.

Onlly in America! Or should I say New York City. If it were noit so dumb and plainly clueless I'd think it was an antisemitic dig!

Good thing they didn't sell them during Ramadan with a sign saying "Perfect for Ramadan" or there would be a fatwah issued against them.

Like mudshark above stated, can you imagine legions of Hasidic jews marching in the streets with fully lit Menorahs, mohels brandishing their clamps and knifes and Rabbis carrying Torah pointers like spears shouting and yelling, "Death to the goyim deli guy, kill him, kill him!!! Only in the Sudan and Saudi Arabia, and Iran, and Yemen, and Oman, and Syria, and Gaza and the West Bank...
