As expected, this morning people in the tri-state area waking up were greeted to a lovely looking blanketing of snow. But as pretty as it looks, it's being called a winter storm, since sleet and freezing rain are possible. The National Weather Service expect one to two inches of snow today, some areas could et up to four inches.

What are you going to do today? See if the snow is good for snowballs? Or take this as a reason to break out the cocoa and marshmallows?

Snow is worse than pigeons. On second thought maybe they are tied for biggest nuisances.
snow is God's dandruff... rain is God's pee
Didn't even realize it had snowed until my cat started making weird, anxious sounds at the window. I let him out for a minute, and I think he's decided that he's done with winter. The next three or four months = hibernation.

I don't even want to think about what sleet and hail might be.
4"...thats nothing. Try spending the winter in Syracuse, Watertown or Messina. I purposely left Buffalo off that list, because those cities always get more snow than Buffalo. Still, 4" in Buffalo wouldn't even be regarded as enough to go sledding in Delaware Park, let alone Chestnut Ridge Park. You wimps.
I'm glad it's a Sunday--ideal for staying inside and watching it fall and accumulate.
I'm moving. Didn't the Beach Boys sing that song, "It Never Snows in Southern California."
Yeah, exactly Karen.
I remember when I was up at school in Albany and my Dad called to say "Oh, we're getting 6" tomorrow!"
"Yeah Dad, we call that a Tuesday." :)
It was REALLY slippery yesterday morning.
I don't mind snow on my head.
I draw the line at pigeon droppings on my head.
And if pigs could fly...lol
