Giants Look For A Rebound

2007_11_coughlinsideline.jpgOn the surface, this one has loss written all over it. Start with last week’s debacle, throw in a Bears team coming off a huge comeback win, subtract Plaxico from the mix, add a potentially cold and wet day in Chicago and the odds look bleak for the Giants.

But, there are a few reasons for optimism. First and foremost is the opposing quarterback, Rex Grossman, who can make a big turnover on any play. In addition, the Bears lost their starting running back, Cedric Benson, for the remainder of the season. Lastly, but probably most importantly, Jeff Feagles is an excellent directional punter, which should keep the ball out of Devin Hester’s hands.

Between the weather and the quarterbacks this should be a messy game. Points will be at a premium and look for it to come down to the final minutes. Call it blind optimism, call it stupidity, but Gothamist thinks the Giants’ offense finds a way to pull the game out.

Rex has only thrown one pick since his return as starter. Eli, well, he doesn't even seem to want to play. The Bears want to win this game more than the Giants do and will ultimately prevail.

    Prediction from a Redskin fan:

Sexy Rexy will throw 5 picks, Baby Manning only 2, but one will be run back for TD again.

    Giants 24, Bears 13

this is going to be a battle of equally as crap teams both fighting for survival for the wildcard. kind of reminds me of cock fighting or something.
