Man Arrested For 17 Manhattan Robberies
A few days after showing surveillance video of a robber holding up a number of stores, police have arrested the suspect. Brooklyn resident Herbert Rodriguez was charged with robbery and criminal possession of a weapon in connection to 17 robberies, all below 23rd Street in Manhattan (there's a map at the end of this slideshow) over the past three months.
In one video where the suspect robs a Murray Hill ice cream store, the bandana covering the robber's face falls down. And in each of the robberies, Rodriguez allegedly threatened store owners with a gun - or pretended that he had one.
Rodriguez allegedly robbed stores that ranged from dry cleaners and newsstands to jewelers and clothing stores. No one was hurt during the crimes.

Looks like he's robbing a Tasty-D.
Good eye...I think you're right
I saw that picture and I thought about approaching him like in Beverly Hills Cops;
"Phil! Man, what's happening, Phil? He said you don't come here no more but I said it's Phil! Phil! Why all the hostility? What's all this gun man? You changed!"
Um, yeah...If all the robberies occurred below 23rd Street, how did one of them take place in Murray Hill? What exactly are the accepted boundaries of this apparently expanding neighborhood?
