  • News crews with cameras are the wrong people to get into hysterical parking rage incidents with.

The parking-rage story has everything you want in local news -- drama, irrelevance, and Dr. Joyce Brothers.

I wonder if that dentist is going to go all Laurence-Olivier-in-Marathon Man on his next patient.

Forget about the stabbings, doesn't anyone realize the theater stage hands are on strike? I can't imagine a more horrid thing occuring in these troubled times. What next? I'm lost to find something as devastating at that. Any suggestions, other the obvious such as an increase in milk prices?

What is the point of the Newsmap? What is the point of knowing there were three stabbings in Brooklyn, especially with no further details?

The CB2 raw footage of the dentist is great!

Alright, to head off further carping:

What I meant was that drunken college students are generally not adept at verbalizing their arguments, therefore the distribution of fliers in lieu of slurring out said arguments might be a better option.

It's two seperate groups; and that becomes much more clear when one reads the link. I should have emphasized that.

Usually I can tell what the mangled sentences of Gothamist are supposed to mean, but with that one I am stumped.

Maybe - they handed out fliers instead of talking? Maybe instead of "verbally" he meant that they handed out fliers instead of giving a practical demonstration of the benefits of eating? Help me out here.

"presumably in lieu of verbally" -- nice English!
