Openings Roundup

open-sign.jpgCommunity Food & Juice: If you like the Clinton Street Baking Company, you'll like Community Food & Juice. DeDe Lahman and Neil Kleinberg bring the magic uptown with not only the same delicious comfort food, but this time with spot that meets Green Restaurant Association guidelines. 2893 Broadway, between 112th and 113th Streets, 212-665-2800.

dell’anima: former Batali alums Chef Gabriel Thompson (Del Posto) and sommelier Joe Campanale (Babbo) team up to create a cozy neighborhood restaurant with an Italian emphasis. They plan to serve up "aperitivo," complimentary finger foods that are served when you order a drink, starting at 4 PM and dinner starting at 5:30 continuing on until 2 a.m. Cocktail master Dale Degroff has trained the staff and together they designed six cocktails specficially designed for aperitivo. 38 8th Avenue, between West 12th Street and Jane, 212-366-6635.

Momofuku Noodle Bar: Not an opening, but a relocation, just down the block from its previous digs. The new Momofuku Noodle bar has twice as many seats, but the same delicious menu, plus the extra added feature of soft serve ice cream. 171 1st Avenue, between 10th and 11th Streets, 212-777-7773.

Mermaid Inn: Danny Abrams uses the seafood formula that has worked so well in the East Village and brings it to the Upper West Side. With the new outpost comes some new variables: the menu isn't identical, although you can rest easy -- there's still free pudding for dessert. 568 Amsterdam Avenue at 88th Street, 212-799-7400.
