Evidence continues to be collected and associates continue to be questioned as the police try to solve the murder of "broker to the stars" Linda Stein. Stein, who managed the Ramones back in the day and had many famous friends, was found bludgeoned to death in her exclusive Fifth Avenue apartment on October 30.
So far, the police have spoken to former business associates, her family, construction workers and building residents, as well as removed bags of evidence, part of Stein's bathtub, and a door frame. The police are interested in re-interviewing Stein's assistant, Natavia Lowery who was accused of stealing a friend's identity (and opening credit cards), but those charges were dropped. Lavery's friends say she is cooperating with the police.
The Sun also reported that Stein was in the process of leaving Prudential Douglas Elliman (a source said she was "upset with the management"). She also had threatened to sue her building over construction work in the during the Jewish holiday. But a friend told the Daily News that Stein was naturally combative, "She lived for the battle. If fighting with Linda puts you on the 'suspect' list, there isn't a list long enough to hold all the names." At any rate, one senior police official told Michael Daly he was confident the murder would be solved.
And fellow real estate broker Faith Hope Consolo says that Elton John is planning a memorial concert for Stein next year, "He's doing that just for Linda Stein, because Linda was a big supporter for Elton John's AIDS foundation."

It seems she picked a battle with someone that didn't need to talk about the problem anymore and she lost. It was probably long overdue.
Exactly, the phrase "Lived for the Battle" seems a bit dated.
It's almost surprising there aren't more murders in New York - tens of thousands of combative types eventually run into the tens of thousands with violent tempers.
Lived for the battle=Pain in the Ass
Lived for the battle = Died in combat
please read what you write before you post it, the grammar on this site is so poor
"Natavia Lavery who was accused to stealing a friend's identity"
the ramones sucked anyway.
^^^what the fuck did you just say?
At least they didn't call her a battle axe.
What's taking so long with this investigation? I thought this was supposed to be a super secure building and that nobody could get in or out without being seen on video or by the doorman, etc. Who did this, James Bond?
According to MSNBC someone has been arrested for this. Details still pending.
It was the former assistant in the study with the candlestick!
