EVENT: In the book Love & Sex With Robots: The Evolution of Human-Robot Relationships David Levy goes where no man has gone before. Hopefully. From the book's description: "Love, marriage, and sex with robots? Not in a million years? Maybe a whole lot sooner. From a leading expert in artificial intelligence comes an eye-opening, superbly argued book that explores a new level of human intimacy and relationships—with robots." We're not even ready to see Lars and the Real Girl, but if you're a bit more modern then us, by all means, check it out.

MOVIE: If Lagerfeld can have a film, why can't Yves Saint Laurent? Tonight learn about the Laurent in not one, but two documentaries. Both chronicle his professional and personal life -- ooh la la!

THEATER: Fasten your kimono for a fast-paced night of Kabuki dance, Taiko drumming, sword fighting and martial arts; legendary Japanese actor Ryuji Sawa is in town through Sunday. The theatrical master of dance and swordplay – born in a dressing room during a tour and debuted onstage at the age of four – has brought an 11-member cast with him to unleash a mesmerizing whirlwind of wordless movement and gravity-defiance. But the star of the revue is perhaps little Ozora Takami, a 12-year-old Japanese fan dance prodigy who will play the role of a geisha in a sumptuous Kabuki fan dance. (Read the Times profile on Sawa during his last New York tour.) – John Del Signore
