200711rosierobot.jpgEVENT: In the book Love & Sex With Robots: The Evolution of Human-Robot Relationships David Levy goes where no man has gone before. Hopefully. From the book's description: "Love, marriage, and sex with robots? Not in a million years? Maybe a whole lot sooner. From a leading expert in artificial intelligence comes an eye-opening, superbly argued book that explores a new level of human intimacy and relationships—with robots." We're not even ready to see Lars and the Real Girl, but if you're a bit more modern then us, by all means, check it out.

7pm // Museum of Sex [233 5th Ave] // Free

MOVIE: If Lagerfeld can have a film, why can't Yves Saint Laurent? Tonight learn about the Laurent in not one, but two documentaries. Both chronicle his professional and personal life -- ooh la la!

7:30pm // French Institute, Florence Gould Hall [55 E 59th St] // $9

THEATER: Fasten your kimono for a fast-paced night of Kabuki dance, Taiko drumming, sword fighting and martial arts; legendary Japanese actor Ryuji Sawa is in town through Sunday. The theatrical master of dance and swordplay – born in a dressing room during a tour and debuted onstage at the age of four – has brought an 11-member cast with him to unleash a mesmerizing whirlwind of wordless movement and gravity-defiance. But the star of the revue is perhaps little Ozora Takami, a 12-year-old Japanese fan dance prodigy who will play the role of a geisha in a sumptuous Kabuki fan dance. (Read the Times profile on Sawa during his last New York tour.) – John Del Signore

8pm // Theater for the New City [155 First Avenue] // Tickets cost $30.

MUSIC: The Muggabears are playing tonight, and we highly suggest you go check them out. The trio were hands down one of our favorite bands during CMJ, and tonight they play with Casiotone for the Painfully Alone, To Bad Catholics and Ezekial Healy at DIY venue Death By Audio.

Listen: The Goth Tarts.mp3 - The Muggabears

8pm // Death By Audio [59 S 2nd St, Williamsburg] // $7
