Last Night's Action: Not Enough For The Knicks

2006_11_sknickslogo.jpg

  • Cleveland 110 Knicks 106: The good news is the Knicks played a pretty good game on the road against a tough opponent. The bad news is they still lost. Zach Randolph had a nice debut with 21 points and 14 rebounds and Jamal Crawford also had 21, but LeBron James exploded for 41 points. The Knicks stayed in the game to the end and if they had done a little better from the line (11-19) they actually could have won.
  • Toronto 106 Nets 69: The Raptors sent a message tonight, humiliating New Jersey on their home floor. Toronto built a 15-point lead at halftime on a 65-foot heave from Chris Bosh and never looked back. Richard Jefferson had 27 points in the loss while six Raptors scored in double figures.
  • Devils 3 Toronto 2: At least one team from Toronto will head home without a win. A shorthanded goal from John Madden proved to be the game-winner, but Zach Parise’s gave New Jersey much needed insurance when he refused to be denied and whacked the puck home with just over two minutes left in the game. Martin Brodeur was steady, stopping 26 shots and keeping the Devils in the game while they were outplayed in the second period.
