Manhattan Project...uhm...duh? this isn't common knowledge? It started at Columbia. Legendary record producer / engineer Tom Dowd was recruited to work on the project while an undergrad there. After the war he didn't return to college because the physics they wanted to teach him was pre-nuclear, and he already knew better.
