MUSIC: We've sort of been ignoring this band because of, or perhaps despite, their cutesy name -- but tonight UK rockers Holly Golightly take the Union Hall stage with The Griefs opening. It may just be time to check out the Hepburn (or Capote)-inspired group.

THEATER: Little Theatre, the OBIE-winning monthly showcase that used to reside at Tonic, is now fully ensconced in its new home at Dixon Place. Curated by playwright Jeffrey M. Jones and Mike Taylor, Little Theatre is the best place to catch the most adventurous young trailblazers in New York’s experimental theater scene. Tonight’s presentation boasts the fruit of five collaborations between a variety of writers, actors, dancers, sound designers and musicians. One never quite knows what theatrical mayhem to expect at Little Theater, but the surprises are what keeps everyone coming back for more. – John Del Signore

COMEDY: TOTALLY JK with Joe and Noah presents: Brett Gelman's "1000 Cats," tonight at Rififi. Your hosts will watch on with you as Gelman performs the "legendary one-man musical masterpiece '1000 Cats' in it's entirety." Also performing are Greg Johnson, Gabe and Jenny, and Max Silvestri.

    As a music journalist, i'm surprised that you don't know who Holly Golightly is. One of the singers of Billy Childish's THE HEADCOATS, and later the leader of THEE HEADCOATEES, neither of which are irrelevant in the history of british music. Guess if it ain't from Brooklyn, it don't matter!
