Noteworthy Television This Week:

A look at some noteworthy television this week:
Color BarsNature: Silence of the Bees (Sunday, 8:00 p.m., WNET 13; Wednesday 8:00 p.m., WLIW 21) The long running PBS nature series Nature takes a look at the recent decline in the honey bee population and the possible consequences of it.

Masterpiece Theatre: The Amazing Mrs Pritchard (Sunday, 9:00 p.m., WNET 13) The story of a supermarket manager becomes Prime Minister continues with Mrs. Pritchard facing some hard political realties.

The Lost Book of Nostradamus (Sunday, 9:00 p.m., History Channel) We always find these specials that claim that Nostradamus, a man from the 16th century some call a prophet, funny since they often link his writings to events like the rise of Napoleon and World War II through a bit of dodgy hindsight. This might not be one of them since it claims to be a tale of the discovery of one of his lost books in the Italian National Library.

American Masters: Good Ol' Charles Schulz (Monday, 9:00 p.m., WNET 13) This new installment of the American Masters series takes a look at cartoonist
Charles Schulz who's classic cartoon strip Peanuts ran in newspapers for decades and his Peanuts specials mark most major holidays.

It's the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown (Tuesday, 8 p.m., WABC 7) Join Linus in the pumpkin patch as this 1966 Charles Schulz Peanuts classic is rolled out for another airing.

Wired Science (Wednesday, 8:00 p.m., WNET 13) How some blind people see with their tongues, the debate between digital and analog sound, solar power and the
X Prize Foundation are all looked into this week.

Gossip Girl (Wednesday, 9:00 p.m., WPIX 11) If you missed or didn't download the first episode of Gossip Girl, here is your chance to see the first episode.

CSI: NY (Thursday, 10:00 p.m., WCBS 2) The CSI: NY team takes a trip out to the Island (or more accurately some part of Los Angeles County pretending to be the Island) to Amityville for more comic inaccuracy while investigating something at the Amityville Horror house, since apparently Suffolk County is part of New York City or doesn't have a police force with a crime scene unit.

Monty Python's Personal Best (Thursday, 10:00 p.m., WNET 13) Python John Cleese shows some of his favorite clips from his Monty Python days. Even the wrap arounds for his episode are funny.

New York Voices (Friday, 10:30 p.m.,; Saturday 7:00 a.m., WNET 13) This episode of channel thirteen's public affairs show features author Junot Diaz is interviewed by host Rafael Pi Roman and the Red Hook Belfield vendor's plight is looked into.

Saturday Night Live (Saturday, 11:30 p.m., WNBC 4) NBC News anchor Brian Williams hosts the show for the first time, although he has popped in before. He isn't the first newscaster to host the show. That honor goes to Edwin Newman on February 25, 1984.
