- Sidewalk chalk outline artist Ellis G[allagher] was arrested by police and held overnight as he was being filmed by a PBS crew last week in Boerum Hill. Charges were dropped the next day and Gallagher was abruptly released.
- The Gowanus Lounge relates a terrible story about a little dog being viciously attacked by a larger dog (generally identified as a pitbull) in front of a group of people, including children, unable to separate them at Prospect Park's Dog Beach.
- 50 Cent reflects on the south side of Queens in the Daily News.
- Donald Trump will be hosting a syndicated daytime program described as a cross between "Judge Judy" and "Dr. Phil", where he will mediate domestic financial disputes. And if there's one area Trump has proved himself adept at, it's the domestic arena.
- Weatherman Sam Champion may have a band named after him, but a band has written a song extolling the greatness of film critic Jeffrey Lyons, featured on an animated web page no less.
- Track workers found a dead man on the tracks at the Delancey/Essex St. station of the J line this morning. The 50-year-old man's feet were touching the electrified third rail.
