I know that when I want a daily does of right-wing propaganda supporting our 24% approval president, I want it packaged as a "freewheeling kind of crazy romp" that has “Fox attitude.” Otherwise, I want to puke and/or write Congress, protest, or engage the political process in some way.
Thank goodness for Fox & Friends and their ability to keep me and others nicely sedated and hating anyone to the left of Limbaugh. I'm doubly pleased to hear that "cast and crew seem to be having genuine fun getting the show on air." I'd hate to see those despicable liars not enjoy themselves.
I'm glad Toby von Meistersinger focused on what's important, entertainment value, and almost completely ignored the pernicious effect Fox has on America and public discourse.
Is anybody getting seriously annoyed with these Flash slideshows like the one in this post? Everytime that little circle refreshes itself in the middle of the screen my browser reorients itself to the slideshow no matter where I am on the page. Really. Freaking. Annoying.
there are tons of places where you can go complain about faux news but because this is gothamist they reported about the set being in nyc, so that's what the post is about. quit crying.
also, thank you toby for taking the 1st picture at that perfect angle! alisyn's hot (yeah, i'd hit it like a neo-con.)
What's with the sanctimony here? TV is a bidness, people. It shouldn't be covered because it caters to customers primarily in red states. And maybe it's actually just an interesting, slightly ironic phenomenon that the more conservative show would be more fun than the dour and scripted, but more politically palatable, shows.
I'd always heard that Republicans threw better parties.
"there are tons of places where you can go complain about faux news but because this is gothamist they reported about the set being in nyc, so that's what the post is about. quit crying."
I didn't realize comments were only for people saying "Thanks Gothamist! [Subject of article] is awesome!" or lascivious comments about women in photos. You really straightened me out there.
(When did Gothamist turn into Fark.com?)
"People are never happy - they get upset when we reference Media Matters, they get upset when we visit the NYC set of Fox News."
Speaking of Media Matters, when is DCist going to visit their offices? I did a search of the DCist site and 6 out of 7 hits were regarding Wonkette's post on the bathrooms in their offices (the 7th commenting about a David Brock speaking engagement).
In any case, since this is "Gothamist" and not "Alabamist" or "Red Statist", I'm going to guess you're going to annoy more people uncritically discussing Fox News (and/or Friends) than Media Matters.
More importantly, this read like a breathless puff-piece written by Fox News. It was way beyond just "covering" the set of Fox & Friends and almost completely ignored the elephant in the room, which is that Roger Ailes network's goal is to support the right-wing and GWB.
In any case, I appreciate the fact that it's far easier to dismiss the political opinions of Gothamist's audience than to thoughtfully address their (predictable) concerns on charged issues.
The F$F gang provides some genuine entertainment value as long as you filter through the agit-prop to find out what's true. Part of the fun is the legs but does Alisyn Camerota really know how much she showed that day? Kudos to her for dropping those extra pounds after giving birth.
I'm not angry at Fox because I understand their agenda. F&F is relatively harmless compared to Hannity, BillO, Hume, Kristol and the Forbes on Fox gang, which is probably the most right-wing show on the channel.
The F&F gang, specifically Brian Kilmeade, is just stupid. Gretchen is nicer than E.D. Hill. Speaking of E.D. Hill, is she going to change her name again soon? She's on name number three now.
God forbid people should disagree with the geniuses posting here.
Guess freedom of expression of is only allowed if your views are in alignment.
Whatever you don't like what they have to say don't watch.
No reason to cry like a baby because they don't portray things the way you perceive them. Believe it or not (altho the ratings might be a strong indicator) there are other people out there who actually agree with them.
They found their niche and fill it well.
On another note, the shows are (to a certain extent anyways) scripted. Although they certainly do freewheel more than most and generally do a good job of it.
F Fox. Oh those crazy kids at faux, look how zany they are. Being forced to watch this crap at work, there are more than enough propeganda pieces to make me believe that they are just a freewheeling bunch of crazies.
Only thing organic about them is the crap they put out.

Anyone curious about what a bunch of lying suck-ups those guys are, Media Matters search: http://preview.tinyurl.com/25r2wd
Who cares? Who's the chick on the left with the legs?
ditto to the Hillster.
Very nice book report. Was this written as a joke? Was it Bring a Highschooler To Blog Day? Is this what happens when bloggers get Old Media envy?
In my household, we call any Fox News program, "Fake News." They're just so bad and cheesy!

I am getting tired of these "reviews" a la BOCAJ Vodka.
Why is this important......??? Why blog about this???
