This five-course wine dinner will feature nine top wines from Alsace, Austria and Germany paired with regional dishes such as Alsatian Onion Tart with Thinly Sliced House-Smoked Brisket and Raclette Fondue and Riesling-Marinated Poulet Rouge with Glazed Baby Turnips and Carrots Crispy Sauteed Spaetzle, and Riesling Jus. October 23: City’s Harvest’s Bid Against Hunger
City Harvest is celebrating its 25th anniversary and honoring New Yorker, actor, supporter (and hottie) Billy Crudup Taste dishes from some of the city's top restaurants, including Anthos, Blue Hill, Felidia, Tailor, and many more. The live and silent auctions raise money to keep City Harvest's trucks on the road, delivering food to hungry New Yorkers. General admission tickets are $250 and are available online. 7:00 p.m., Metropolitan Pavilion - North, 125 West 18th Street, between 6th and 7th Avenues.

October 24: Judith Jones at Bottlerocket
Knopf editor Judith Jones has brought many books to us over the years, including Julia Child’s Mastering the Art of French Cooking, but now she's written one of her own. Join Judith as she reads from her memoir, The Tenth Muse: My Life in Food, followed by a Q&A session and wine tasting.
