Clearly Abercrombie & Fitch was setting itself up to be the subject of the latest Improv Everywhere prank when it had a shirtless male model greet customers at its Fifth Avenue store. IE recruited 111 men of various body types to take off their shirts while at the store, much to the amusement of customers.
Naturally, hijinks ensued as store management and security were less amused. Hmm, we supposed it's hard for A&F to have a "No Shirt, No Service" sign when the store is all about shirtless dudes. Here's one of IE's videos of what happened.
There was a shirt-doffing session Central Park, too, for an Abercrombie & Fitch-style photo shoot). A much more extensive report can be found at Improv Everywhere.

hubba hubba!
That's fantastic!
funny! ...and they're hotter than those A&F steroid androids, anyway
The comments from the Improv agents on their site are hilarious!
eh. could have been a lot funnier if they actually weren't pussies and blew off the sales ladies telling them to put their shirts back on.
Pscchht. Whatever.
If they were really serious and willing going to go all the way, they would have shaved their pubic region, and had their pants showing off their Apollo Belts, just like the A&F guys do.
And maybe they would have all had that model pouty face. I didn't see model pout.
Best gag since they invaded Best Buy.
I think they still put the guys with better bodies in the front of that photo. Improv Everywhere is appearance-ist!
I was walking past Central Park on Saturday and saw this and was wondering who all the hunky topless men were. Thanks.
Anyone who said the A&F store were hipocrats for calling security are retarded, OF COURSE they're going to get kicked out, why wouldn't they?
Because the "NO SHIRTS NO SERVICE" policy is SO UNORTHODOX, right? Maybe you guys should go into Victoria's Secert wearing lingerie. I mean if they have pictures of people wearing nothing but underwear then you should get away with shopping that way right? You're smart.
I have no problem with the humor involved in this video, but some of the comments made of people's social view on A&F are a little misguided.
Hilarious! In the site, they mentioned a British lady who told them one started doing it and then the rest did... I bet she saw the guy who took off his shirt like seven minutes early.
