- Felix Najera, the homeless man who died last week after someone set him on fire, may have been a drinker, but he didn't drink alone. He shared his life on the streets of Harlem with a woman, who now mourns his passing.
- A Red Hook bartender helped capture one of the two men that have been sticking up neighborhood bars. He called the cops and trapped the suspect's female companion inside the establishment until the cops arrived.
- The DEP is finally cracking down on non-paying water scofflaws. Thirty businesses will have their water shut off in two weeks if they don't pay what they owe.
