Giants Look To Get To 4-2 Against Tallonless Falcons

2005_09_sgiantslogo.jpgTonight we will get a good measure of exactly what the Giants are. Heading to Atlanta and facing a bad team on the road is a dangerous spot, the potential is there to underestimate your opponent and ruin your chances at an easy win.

And, that is exactly what this game should be. Atlanta still hasn’t recovered from losing Michael Vick to prison in the preseason and with Joey Harrington at quarterback, they are averaging only 14 points a game. Warrick Dunn is not the runner he once was and Jerious Norwood has only shown flashes of potential in limited action.

On defense, the picture is better. They rank 11th in pass defense and they have held opponents to only 4-yards per rushing attempt. With a big crowd behind them and playing in front of a national TV audience, the Falcons will be ready to play. Gothamist thinks it will take the Giants awhile to get going and while they prevail in the end, it will be much closer than it should be.

i would say that this is a classic "look ahead game"...but their next opponents are the 49ers and the dolphins. not really much to look ahead to.
