Jets Look at Eagles and See Themselves

2006_08_sjetslogo.jpgThe Jets and the Eagles have plenty in common. They both made the playoffs last year and had expectations of returning. Slow starts have made those aspirations appear less likely. The Jets' season, without a bye to arrest its fall, has taken the sharper downward turn. They're 1-4 and have not looked good the past two weeks in losses at Buffalo and "at" the Giants.

More bad news for the Jets? The Eagles are 7-0 against the Jets. Andy Reid has never coached a loss following a bye week -- he's 8-0. The Jets only have three sacks all season, and Eagles quarterback Donovan McNabb thrives when he doesn't feel pressured. Chad Pennington, he whose biggest asset is his decision-making, threw three interceptions, last week. If he turns in a repeat performance, don't expect to have to wait to long for Kellen Clemens.
