Last Night's Action: Not So Magic Eights

  • Maple Leafs 8, Islanders 1: Maybe they were worn out from facing the Rangers on Wednesday. Maybe they had a tough time getting through customs. Whatever the reason, the Islanders played an embarrassingly flat game in Toronto on Thursday and suffered their second loss of the season. Wade Dubielewicz was the sacrificial lamb and spent all 60 minutes in net. The Isles continue their three-game road trip in Philadelphia on Saturday night.
  • Panthers 3, Devils 0: Starting a season on a nine-game road trip is tough, but the Devils should be playing better than this. Getting shut out by the listless Panthers doesn't seem like the best statement. Only five more games before the first home game! New Jersey, at 1-3, is off to its worst start since the 2001-02 season. The Panthers' win was their first this season.

Yeah....horrible game, but I guess Dubie had to get his feet wet by staying in net all game. Hey, he hasnt' played since early APril!

But, yeah, the Isles looked REAL bad!

Since I dispense a lot of shit for bad spelling, credit where credit is due: That is exactly how you spell Dubielewicz.
