Former President Bill Clinton may love to eat foods like osso bucco, but he's not so happy with the restaurant Osso Buco. Clinton's lawyer sent owner Nino Selimaj a letter demanding that a photograph of Selimaj and Chelsea Clinton, which had been featured in the University Place location's window, be taken down.
The AP reported that lawyer Douglas J. Band (apparently using letterhead from "the office of William Jefferson Clinton") noted the young Clinton's status as a private citizen, the fact she "was not consulted prior to this picture being displayed," and that the photograph does not serve as an endorsement." Band also wrote, "We reserve the right to exercise any and all options available to us if you refuse to comply."
Selimaj took down the photo and told Page Six, "I am really heartbroken. Until this morning, I would have voted for Hillary. Bill was my favorite president of all time... I really hope they will reconsider." Hmm, since Barack Obama is in NYC tomorrow, maybe he'll consider having an event at Osso Buco.

Who cares if she wasn't consulted about the pic? She obviously posed for the photo, so the owner of the pic can do whatever they want with it.

How about yesterday's revelation the Clinton's had GQ's December article on Hillary's campaign pulled under the threat that the magazine would lose all access to Bill Clinton. And apparently the Clinton's thought last years article in the Atlantic was anti-Clinton even though it was mostly favorable. Their paranoia is starting to make Nixon look good.

here is what the restaurant owner should do: leave the picture up but cover chelsea's face with a white circle and write "chelsea clinton" on the circle. underneath her name, he should write the dollar amount of all the free food and drink she has surely consumed at his restaurant. as a celebrity, it is unlikely that she has ever had to pay a cent for anything.

Honestly, is Chelsea really that important? I guess its just a father protecting his daughter but c'mon this is Chelsea, not Jesus, the Pope, or Einstein. I could care less about seeing a picture of Chelsea, I wouldn't recognize her walking down the street from any other white girl.

Please. If this were Jenna Bush this thread would be 200 insults long by now. Ordinary private citizens don't get their picture taken by the restaurant. If she didn't want her picture up on the wall she should have politely declined when it was taken. That the letter was Bill's letterhead suggests he is behind this or more likely Hillary is since she wears the pants and Bill is probably up in Chappaqua banging ten different chicks a day. anyway, once the Senator and/or former President gets involved the story is no longer just about Chelsea. If she wants it down she should have hired her own lawyer and put it on her own stationary. Or had her hedge fund's lawyers right the letter and then write it off as a business expense.
