EVENT: Join Chief Jim Riches, 9/11 families, rescue and recovery workers in an effort to Tell Rudy Giuliani to "Stop Politicizing 9/11". Rudy will be at a fundraiser at the Waldorf later today, and will be greeted by those who believe he's no hero. Why? They say: "He failed the FDNY & uniformed & civilian victims. He gave us incompetent commissioners ( FD,PD, OEM). No integrated command. He abandoned us on 9/11. He gave the FDNY defective radios. He lied about the toxic air -- 70% of responders and many civilians are sick." More info here.

READING: The influential Bronx-born novelist, Don DeLillo, is uptown at the 92nd St Y tonight. He'll be reading from his latest novel, Falling Man, which tells the tale of one 9/11 survivor who walks out of the WTC physically unharmed that day.

MUSIC: Angela McClusky, Nathan Larson, papercranes and Rene Lopez are at Mercury Lounge tonight. One of those acts has a Phoenix in it. Joaquin Phoenix's sis Rain leads the band, and is sometimes joined by other siblings Liberty and Summer. She also opened for R.E.M. on the same tour as Ms. McClusky, who headlines tonight.
